Description:
The Zalzala meeting was organized by PAGB chair Ms. Dure Afzal at Dr. Afridi's residence. The purpose of the meeting was to gather and exchange information on the numerous activities and projects that had been and will be coordinated by Boston-based organizations. A brief introduction / refreshments period was followed by presentations from PAGB, APPNE, HDFNA, Architects for Humanity, Islamic Relief, DIL, and ADP (conducted by Omar Biabani). In addition to the participating organizations, a delegation from the government of Pakistan, comprising of secretaries and joint-secretaries from various ministries, were present on the occasion. In the meeting we found out that ADP had raised the most amount of funds in the least amount of time in the New England region. The event also served as a wonderful opportunity for ADP to PR its activities and to gain some contacts in the Greater Boston Pakistani community. |
