|Shelter Drive for the Pakistan Earthquake victims
Please sponsor shelter for a family displaced by the recent earthquake in Pakistan by donating a 10x12 or larger tent.
Please help spread the word by forwarding to your friends and relatives in the community.
All of us are already aware of the devastating results of the recent Earthquake in Pakistan. News from the media, friends, relatives in Pakistan continue to point out the severe shortage of shelter for the families that have been displaced by the Earthquake. They need our help.
On behalf of 'YourDil', a non-profit organization conducting several relief efforts for the earthquake victims in Pakistan, we are asking for you to sponsor shelter for a displaced family in Pakistan by donating a 10 x 12 or larger tent. You can pick up a 10 x 12 tent from your local department store (Wal-Mart / Kmart etc.) for around $50 to $70. Each tent you donate will help prevent one family from the harsh weather elements common in the region.
We have arranged the local mosques to act as collection points for the tents you donate. The tents collected will be included in a consignment on the first possible shipment to Pakistan, and be distributed among the affected families.
Tents can be donated from now until Maghrib on Saturday Oct 22nd.

10 x 12 or larger tent.
Relief agencies in Pakistan have requested that the tents we donate are weather-proof - so please no canopies. Most camping tents available in the US are already weather proof. A decent tent typically has the following features:
- Be able to close the tent on all sides.
- Double stitches on the seams.
- Protective shell covering on the top.
Wallmart carries a line of Ozark Trail camping equipment. They sell a 10 x 12 tent for $49.99. In addition, also check your local Building 19 store as they also frequently carry tents..
